Friends reunited at Camp Nou for FC Barcelona v Inter Milan

The game between Barça and Inter will see old acquaintances revived in the Champions League

Barça v Internazionale is a Champions League fixture that will bring together some old friends at Camp Nou. Antoine Griezmann and his former Atlético Madrid team mate Diego Godin, now plying his trade in Serie A, are just one example of the players who will have the chance to catch up with familiar faces on Wednesday evening.

Alexis and Piqué, Busquets, Messi, Sergi Roberto and Jordi Alba

The Chilean striker was part of the Barça squad for three seasons between 2011 and 2014 in which time he claimed six trophies; one league title, a Copa del Rey, a European Super Cup, a FIFA World Club Cup and two Spanish Super Cups. Alexis Sánchez will come up against former team mates Piqué, Busquets, Messi, Jordi Alba and Sergi Roberto from his time as a blaugrana.

These two former Atlético Madrid stars are good friends and will come face to face for the first time on Wednesday since both decided to leave 'los colchoneros' in the summer. After fives seasons together in the capital, the two players know each other's game perfectly so Wednesday's encounter will be riveting as the striker and centre back will be in direct opposition out on the field at Camp Nou.

Vidal and Asamoah

Two busy, physical players in midfield who played together at Juventus between 2012 and 2015, Vidal and Asamoah were fixtures in the 'Vecchia Signora' of Antonio Conte.

Conte and Vidal

Arturo Vidal was a key member of Antonio Conte's Juventus side between 2012 and 2014, winning successive Serie A titles. Now Conte is in charge at Inter Milan and he is only too aware of the threat posed by the Chilean midfielder.

Aside from former club team mates, several international team mates will come face to face on Wednesday. Barça's Uruguayan striker Luis Suárez faces his fellow 'charrua' internationals Godín and Vecino. Argentines Messi and Lautaro come face to face as do Croatians Rakitic and Brozovic and Dutchmen De Jong and Stefan de Vrij.
