Reflexes and agility in goal

Jordi Masip came to Barça in the summer of 2009 from Vilajuïga. At Barça Atlétic he played 79 matches in fives season before making the jump to the first team in 2014/15 under coach Luis Enrique, competing with the likes of Claudio Bravo and Marc ter Stegen for the goalkeeping slot. After three seasons he left for Valladolid is search of regular first team football and retired at the same club in 2024 at the age of 35.

A keeper with great reflexes and agility, his appearances for the first team were limited by the presence of two great goalkeepers in the first team, Claudio Bravo and Ter Stegen. That meant Masip would make just four appearances for Barça under coach Luis Enrique, one in the league and three in the Copa del Rey.

His departure in 2017 led to regular first team football at Valladolid where he made 227 appearances before retiring at the age of 35 in 2024.
