Nolito, a sharp and explosive winger, joined Barça B in 2008, debuted under Guardiola, and after a career across Spain, Portugal, and England, retired in 2023 aged nearly 37

Pure passion, commitment, and talent—qualities that brought Nolito to Barça in 2008 after two strong seasons with Écija. He began with Luis Enrique’s Barça Athletic, where he quickly became a key starter and soon earned a first-team debut under Pep Guardiola in a league match against Mallorca. He played five official games for the senior side, scoring once in the Copa del Rey against Ceuta, and made 107 appearances for the B team, scoring 29 goals.

After three years at the club, Nolito moved to Benfica, where he won the Portuguese League Cup. Both Luis Enrique and Guardiola later brought him back under their management at Celta and Manchester City, respectively. His five years at Celta were split into two spells.

His Premier League stint lasted just one season (2016–17). Back in Andalusia, he played briefly for Granada and then joined Sevilla, where he won the UEFA Europa League in 2020. Nolito ended his career with UD Ibiza in 2022–23.
