3. Chadi Riad

Chadi Riad was born in Palma de Mallorca in 2003. He has Spanish and Moroccan dual nationality and arrived as a youth player from Mallorca in 2019. After one season playing for the Under-19B side, Chadi went out on loan to Sabadell where he made his debut for the first team in the Liga SmartBank. The following season, 2021/22, saw the centre back return to Barça where he won the La Liga División de Honor and Copa de Campeones double with the Under-19A side, proving both a leader and key player for the team.

Technical profile

Chadi is a very strong and decisive left-footed central defender. He is noted for his leadership on the field, providing assurance in both defensive and midfield areas. Good at bringing the ball out, Chadi has a turn of pace and dominates in the air. He is an intense, aggressive player with vision both in defence and attack.
