FC Barcelona B maintained their spot at the top of the league with an enthralling 3-2 win over Mallorca B with goals from Alfaro, Aleñá and Perea.
It was the home side who took the lead when, on 15 minutes, Alberto profited from a defensive error to tuck away the opener. The goal, however, proved to be the wakeup call that Barça needed as they soon sprung to life.
After piling on the pressure, Alfaro levelled things up just before the break. Ten minutes into the second half, the turnaround was complete as Aleñá hit a powerful strike beyond the Mallorca keeper.
But just as Barça missed a chance to increase their advantage, they were punished by Sastre’s goal on 65 minutes. If there is one thing that Barça B do not lack this season, however, it is firepower. For the fourth time in seven league matches, the reserves hit three goals in a game to earn another valuable win, with Perea scoring the decisive strike on 74 minutes.
