FC Barcelona and LDU Quito have reached an agreement for the loan of Josué Caicedo to Barça Atlètic for the 2026/27 season. The 18 year old left back from Ecuador arrives with the option at the end of the season of a permanent transfer to strengthen Juliano Belletti's squad for the campaign in the Segunda Federación.

Caicedo is a promising, attacking left back who stands out for his ability to get up and down the wing and his change of pace. The Ecuadorian is versatile to also be able to play in different positions, even on the wing.

Debut with LDU Quito

Last season he made the jump to the LDU Quito first team, making 20 official appearances and playing in the Copa Libertadores in a game against Bolivian club Always Ready. 

With the arrival of Josué Caicedo Barça Atlètic bring in young talent in the shape of a player who still has plenty of room for improvement and who will look to develop further in a blaugrana shirt.
