CD Ibiza Islas-Pitiusas 1-0 Barça Atlètic: No luck
Barça Atétic have suffered a 1-0 defeat at CD Ibiza Islas Pitiusas that means they have dropped out of the playoff zone in their division with just eight games left to play. Despite dominating the first half and hitting the woodwork twice, they couldn’t find the net. The hosts stepped up after the break and netted the winner, handing the blaugrana a second straight defeat.
Denied by the woodwork
Barça Atlètic were the better side early on at Sant Rafel. Guillermo struck the bar, and Tommy also hit the woodwork in a clear display of dominance. They controlled possession and tempo, with chances for Joaquín Delgado and Ureña, while Ibiza barely threatened. It stayed 0–0 at the break but based on what we had seen, the blaugrana reserves had every reason to believe they could sort things out in the second half.

Sadly, that did not happen. The hosts were a much improved side after the interval and, after a few warnings, Diego Jiménez scored with a header following a defensive rebound. Barça Atlètic pushed for an equaliser, with coach Belletti making changes and Víctor Barberà returning from injury. Alex Campos had a late chance, but it wasn’t enough.
Barça Atlètic now face the tough test of runaway league leaders Sant Andreu (who have won their last seven games and haven't lost since November) on March 28 at the Estadi Johan Cruyff.
