First slip up of the season at home for Juliano Belletti's team as they lost 1-0 against Girona B at the Estadi Johan Cruyff. A goal from the penalty spot from Garrido decided the game in favour of the visitors and ended a run of seven games without defeat for the blaugranes. 

Early pressure 

Both sides created chances early on at the Estadi Johan Cruyff with Ureña and Delgado going close for the blaugranes. For Girona, the visitors had the ball in the back of the net in the first half but fortunately for Barça it was ruled out due to offside. Argemí then went close for home side just before the break, his last contribution before being replaced by Villar in the second half. 

Blow for the blaugranes 

The second half began with Girona having a great chance to take the lead, Sarasa blasting over from close range much to the relief of the fans in the Estadi Johan Cruyff. Calderó the hit the post for the visitors as they continued to threaten after the break. 

With less than twenty minutes to go, Olmedo was penalised for handball inside the box and Girona's Garrido slotted home the resultant penalty. A red card for the visitors' Martínez gave Barça a man advantage but they were unable to find a way through for the equaliser, even when Girona were reduced to nine men late with Badia also sent off. The final whistle signalled the end of a seven game unbeaten run for the blaugranes and the end of their unbeaten record in the Estadi Johan Cruyff.
