FC Barcelona have reached an agreement with Andrés Cuenca to extend his contract with the club for a further season. His previous deal, which was due to expire on 30 June, has now been renewed until 30 June 2027.
In addition, Barça and Sporting Gijón have reached an agreement for the loan of the 19-year-old defender until 30 June 2026.
Cuenca, who joined FC Barcelona in the summer of 2019 from the youth ranks of Sevilla FC, is currently in the final year of his youth-team stage. This season, the Andalusian defender has made seven appearances for Barça Atlètic (scoring one goal) and has also featured in three matches in the UEFA Youth League.
He made his official first team debut on 1 October 2024, in a Champions League match between Barça and Young Boys.
