Agreement reached between FC Barcelona and Al Ahly for the loan of the player Hamza Abdelkarim until 30 June 2026. The deal includes a purchase option for the blaugrana club at the end of the season.

The Egyptian forward joins Barça Atlètic after passing routine medical tests and having a tour around Club facilities, and he is set to start training with his teammates in the coming days.

    First Egyptian to play for a blaugrana side

    Born on 1 January 2008, Hamza Abdelkarim is set to become the first Egyptian to play for a blaugrana side. The new Barça Atlètic forward came through the youth system at Al Ahly and played for U-17s for his country, for whom he shone bright in the last World Cup at that level.

    He is a very mobile forward who links well and has a good eye for goal. He has already made his debut for Al Ahly in the CAF Champions League, and also played in some Egyptian Cup games.
