FC Barcelona and FC Andorra have reached an agreement for the loan of player Aron Yaakobishvili until 30 June 2026.

Six seasons at Barça

Born in Hungary on 6 March 2006 (19 years old), Yaakobishvili joined FC Barcelona in the summer of 2018 from the youth ranks of Atlètic Sant Just. He joined the U14 team and immediately stood out as a reliable goalkeeper with strong shot-stopping skills and good footwork.

He continued his development through the youth ranks, eventually making the step up to U19A. Last season, he split his time between that side and Barça Atlètic. He made his debut with the reserve team on 27 September 2024, away match to Tarazona (0–0). In total, he played three matches with Barça Atlètic and also received his first call-ups to the first team.

His real breakthrough came with he was a key figure in the team’s treble-winning campaign, claiming the División de Honor league title, the Copa del Rey, and the UEFA Youth League. He played seven league games, five in the Copa del Rey, and eight in the UEFA Youth League. His performances, particularly in crucial knockout fixtures, were vital to the success of the team led by Juliano Belletti.

Following the end of his time at youth level, Yaakobishvili renewed his contract with the club until 2028. This season, he will play for Andorra in the Segunda División following their promotion last season.
