Cornellà 0-2 Barça Atlètic: Back to winning ways

The blaugrana development side get back to winning ways, with Moha and Pau Víctor the goalscorers

An important win for Barça Atlètic away to UE Cornellà, making it now 8 wins in 14 Liga games. Rafa Márquez' side are back on the winning trail after the defeat against Cultura Leonesa and sit comfortably in the play-off positions.

Blaugrana control

The game started evenly, but the visitors gradually took control. Marc Vidal saved a Luisão shot (min 6) and Barça Atlètic had opportunities to take the lead through Alarcón (min 4 y min 31), Unai (min 15) and Cuéllar (min 39). Ultimately the latter was fouled and Moha converted the resulting penalty to send Rafa Márquez' side into the lead at the break (0-1, min 42).

The blaugranes came out wanting to extend the lead and kill the game off as soon as possible. They came close to a second though Pau Víctor, but Kike Ríos intervened (min 55). Ángel Alarcón also almost scored after a well worked move but Yari Meykher saved down low to push the ball away (min 59).

However, the game was put further out of reach for the home side after Pau Víctor regained possession, combined with Cuéllar, before scoring from inside the box (0-2, min 75). That was enough to win, although it could have been more with substitutes Percan and Pocho coming close in time added on. A valuable three points for Barça that sees them sitting nicely in the play-offs.
