Castellón 1-1 Barça Atlètic: A draw to keep the run going

The blaugranes have now gone 11 games without defeat in the Primera RFEF league

Barça Atlètic picked up a point on their visit to Castellón, the game between the two play off candidates ending 1-1 in the Nou Estadi Castàlia. Estanis Pedrola's goal in the first half enabled Rafa Márquez's team to stetch their unbeaten run to 11 games in the Primera RFEF and move to third in the table on 54 points, a cushion of four points in the play off zone albeit having played a game more.

Estanis Pedrola equalises

In an entertaining first half with both side committed to attack. In the 21st minute one of those attacks paid off as Castellón went ahead in the 21st minute thanks to a De Miguel header from a great cross by Cristian.

The goal roused Barça and within 10 minutes of the opening strike, they were level. A training ground move from a corner ended with Estanis firing home from the edge of the box on 31 minutes to make it 1-1.

Second half stalemate

After the break the blaugranes came close to going ahead when first Txus Alba and than Luismi Cruz went close. The game's rhythm was interrupted when both sides were reduced to 10 men with Indias and Dionkou shown red cards after a confrontation with 20 minutes remaining.

In the end neither side could find the winner and Rafa Márquez's left happy with a point from a tough away game. Barça Atlètic are next in action on Saturday against Osasuna Promesas.
