The Barça reserves have beaten for the first time this season at the Estadi Johan Cruyff, with Sabadell not only cancelling out an early blaugrana opner, but going on to add three more their tally.
After two defeats on the road, Barça Atlètic were desperate to set things straight with home advantage and Víctor Barberà sent the ball home in the first big play of the game.
Sabadell refused to let the early setback unfaze them, and Arnau Tenas was under constant pressure until Alberto Fernández finally had him beat, and then Moha got the better of a one-on-one just a minute before the break
Sabadell were giving the Barça defence a very tough afternoon indeed, and the teams had barely emerged from the dressing room for the second half when Pau Víctor made it three and Rafa Márquez was moved to start making changes in an attempt to get something out of a game that was very much in Harlequin hands.
It seemed to be working because for much of the second half it was Barça who were on top, finally controlling the midfield and, more importantly, creating chances. The blaugrana were very unfortunate not to get anything back for their efforts, and instead they suffered further punishment when Juan Delgado scored a fourth for Sabadell deep into injury time.
All in all, and afternoon to forget for the Barça reserves, who are next in action way to Logroñés on Sunday at 5.00pm CEST.
