FC Barcelona and Eibar have reached an agreement for the transfer of the player Matheus Pereira. The Brazilian midfielder joins the Second Division Basque club after two and a half seasons with Barça Atlètic.

Matheus Pereira came to Barça in the winter transfer market on loan from Juventus in the 2019/20 season. In the summer of 2020 the move was made permanent.
After a Covid-19 interrupted first season, the Brazilian became an important member of the squad in his first full season. In his final campaign he played 36 times under Sergi Barjuan, starting 31 of them and scoring five goals.
