Barça B signs Ferran Jutglà

22-year-old Catalan arrives from Espanyol for one season, with the option of an additional season, with a buyout clause set at 50 million euros, and 100 million should be be promoted to the first team.

FC Barcelona B has signed Ferran Jutglà, a 22 year old Catalan who is joining as a free agent for one season through to 30 June 2022, with the option of an additional season. His buyout clause has been set at 50 million euros, and 100 million should be be promoted to the first team.

He put pen to paper on Tuesday in the presence of president Joan Laporta, the director responsible for youth football, Joan Soler, the president of Barça B, Jordi Casals and the director of youth football, José Ramon Alexanco.

Born in Sant Julià de Vilatorta (01/02/1999), he first played for the local club and then moved to Vic Riuprimer, and has been at Espanyol since 20212/13. He is a quick and powerful winger with a good eye for the goal, who can also play as a centre forward.

In 2017/18, he played on loan to the Sant Andreu youth team, for whom he went on to represent the seniors. Valencia picked him up on loan mid-season, and in 2018/19 he became a regular in the Sant Andreu first team, making 39 appearances, scoring six goals and giving eight assists.

He then returned to Espanyol, playing 52 for their reserves in Division 2B, including 32 in the season just ended, scoring 12 goals and gibing 3 assists.

He featured last season in two games against Barça B, scoring for the losing side in a 2-1 defeat at the Estadi Johan Cruyff, and also playing in the 1-0 loss at the Ciutat Esportiva Dani Jarque.
