Hércules 4-1 Barça B: Reaction without reward

Barça B fell to their second loss of the season, 4-1 against Hercules. The team from Alicante were already 2-0 up by half-time, thanks to the goals from Yeray and Benja. Although Riqui Puig responded for the visitors in the second half, another from Benja and one from Carlos Martínez secured the win for the hosts.

Hercules grabbed two goals in the first half hour. Yeray's header from a counterattack and Benja's shot from outside the area put them firmly in control.

Riqui Puig cuts the deficit

Garcia Pimienta's side started the second half with the aim of reducing the deficit, and Riqui Puig did just that on 68, silencing the crowd at the Rico Pérez Stadium in the process. An immediate reaction saw Benja restore the two goal lead, and with 10 minutes to play, Carlos Martínez put the game beyond Barça's reach.
