FC Barcelona has taken another step forward in its commitment to the digital ecosystem by adding Futbot to its official Discord channel. This new football chatbot was developed by ComplexityAI, a company specialising in the application of artificial intelligence to sport. With Futbot, Barça fans will have access to real-time statistics, analysis and polls during men’s and women’s first-team matches, enabling dynamic commentary, MVP voting and instant data insights, all of which enrich the user experience.

Since May 2023, FC Barcelona fans have had access to the club’s official Discord channel (@FCBarcelonaOfficial), which now has nearly 150,000 subscribers, having grown by 50% over the past year, making it the largest official community of any sports club on the platform. On matchdays, activity peaks at more than 60,000 messages, along with quizzes, special features and actions with the eSports team.

Through this partnership with ComplexityAI, FC Barcelona is strengthening its position as a leader in digital innovation in sport, combining the power of a global, youthful and active community with cutting-edge technological capabilities.

Futbot will already be available for this Saturday’s highly anticipated men’s first-team match at the Spotify Camp Nou against Athletic Club, as well as during Sunday’s women’s match against Levante.
