Once again there's a strong FC Barcelona presence among the nominees for FIFA's The Best awards. This Thursday, the list of official nominees was announced, and as many as eleven blaugrana players are in contention for a trophy.

Pedri, Raphinha and Lamine Yamal are nominated for 2025 Best Men’s Player of the Year, while Szczęsny is shortlisted for Best Goalkeeper and Hansi Flick for Best Men’s Coach.

In the women’s categories, Alexia Putellas, Aitana Bonmatí, Patri Guijarro, Clàudia Pina and Ewa Pajor are up for Best Women’s Player of 2025, with Cata Coll nominated for Best Goalkeeper.

In addition, FIFA has announced all the candidates for the FIFPro Best XI, with nominees selected by position.

For the men’s team, the shortlist includes Szczęsny (goalkeeper), Cubarsí and Kounde (defenders), De Jong and Pedri (midfielders), and Lewandowski, Raphinha and Lamine Yamal (forwards).

For the women’s team, the nominees are Cata Coll (goalkeeper), Ona Batlle, María León and Paredes (defenders), Aitana, Patri and Pina (midfielders), and Graham, Pajor and Alexia (forwards).
