Feel the Colours, new Catalan Tourism Agency campaign that explains the emotional bond between FC Barcelona and Catalonia

FC Barcelona and the ACT have been working together for 11 years to promote the country as a travel destination

The Government of Catalonia, through the Catalan Tourism Agency (ACT), part of the Ministry of Business and Labour, is working with FC Barcelona on a new campaign to promote the country.

On the occasion of this weekend's presentation of the new fourth strip, which was worn by the men's and women's football teams and also the basketball team, a new campaign has been launched called Feel de Colours, which looks to explain the emotional bond between the club and its country. Indeed, the tagline used to present the new strip, ‘+ Catalunya + Barça’, evokes the Barça essence and how proud the club is to belong to Barcelona and Catalonia.

According to the director of the ACT, Narcís Ferrer i Ferrer, the idea was to boost the connection between Catalonia and FC Barcelona by using the colours “as a common sentiment towards the club and a way of living and feeling a land.” The new strip describes club and country as something inseparable that needs to be experienced in fill in order to get the most out of the experience.

The central aim of the campaign is for fans to sense an emotional association between a football club and Catalonia as a tourist destination.

11 years together

Feel the Colours is just the latest of many joint ventures between ACT and FC Barcelona, who have had a formal agreement since 2012 and which 2021 was extended until 30 June 2024, the aim of which has been to promote Catalan tourism in international markets.

These 11 years have included the ACT organising promotional events in the different cities that Barça has visited with its football team, among others Milan, Moscow, Manchester, Berlin, Munich, Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Washington, Miami, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Tokyo and Shanghai.
