FC Barcelona has done it again! The documentary series FC Barcelona, A New Era, produced by Barça Studios and which premiered worldwide in December on Prime Video has ended the year as the channel's most-watched sports documentary in Spain.
Much of this is thanks to the 360º launch, which planned promotional content aimed at the different audiences, both on the club's own digital channels and on external services. This content was released both before the series premiered and in the build-up to each episode. Another factor has certainly been the implication of the players themselves, as well as Xavi Hernández and the Board of Directors. The combination of all these elements means that the series has not only been a hit among FC Barcelona supporters worldwide, but has also been followed by football fans and Prime Video subscribers in general, both in Spain and abroad.
About ‘FC Barcelona, A New Era’
‘FC Barcelona, A New Era’ is a fly-on-the-wall documentary series about recent times at the club from the players' own perspective. Barça Studios has perfectly captured how the squad was rebuilt, how the financial issues were resolved and how the club was put back on the right footing after a difficult period. This inside story begins with the fateful day in Lisbon when Barça were hammered 8-2 by Bayern Munich in the Champions League quarter final, and ends with the start of the 2022/23 season and the arrival of new players, especially including Robert Lewandowski.
The series consists of five 30-minute episodes and was launched exclusively and worldwide on Prime Video in December 2022.
