This Sunday 22 January is the first of the Chinese New Year (and in several other countries of Asia), which is that of the rabbit, which is said to represent luck, fortune and hope. And in celebration there was a distinctly oriental feel to the Spotify Camp Nou on Sunday prior to the game with Getafe.
The player came onto the field wearing shirts with their names printed in Chinese on the back, and were joined by children from the Penya Blaugrana Dracs Units, which was founded by the Chinese community living in Catalonia.
Around the outside of the stadium, the penya performed the traditional dance of the dragon, and there were other musical performances and a Chinese writing workshop.
