The club's streaming service is showing over thirty games a day using the automatic cameras used for technical analysis at the Ciutat Esportiva

All friends and relatives of the more than 1,150 boys and girls playing in this week’s Barça Academy World Cup and who can’t be at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper can still watch all the games. Using the system of automatic Pixellot cameras, Barça TV+ is able to screen around 32 games every day. These cameras are installed in the Ciutat Esportiva by this audiovisual technology company to record all the activity at the ground and can be watched live via the club’s streaming service.

Pixellot has been helping FC Barcelona with its fixed and mobile cameras for four years, both at the training ground and in the Estadi Johan Cruyff. They use artificial intelligence to track the action based on player and ball movements and can even be used to put together clips and highlight packages based on the analysts’ choices.

Essentially used to work with youth teams and the Barça Academies, the system can now also be used to screen games lives involving the 104 teams from 15 countries that are competing in representation of the 26 Barça Academies and Barça Academy Camps.

Barça TV+ is using the signals from two of the ten cameras fitted on pitches 6 and 8 at the Ciutat Esportiva to broadcast sixteen games live from 12.00 noon to 8.00 pm CEST.

As well as these automatically generated games, Barça TV+ is also offering some games with commentary in Catalan, Spanish and English. On Tuesday there are six games being shown from 12.30pm to 2.00pm, and from 3.30pm to 5.00pm. On Wednesday there will be three more from 3.30pm to. 500pm and the finals and closing ceremony can be seen on Thursday from 1.30pm
