Brazilian striker Rivaldo has joined the Barça Legends squad that faces Liverpool at Anfield Road in Saturday’s charity fundraiser for the LFC Foundation and Barça Foundation. This game between veteran stars of two of Europe’s biggest clubs starts at 3pm local time and can be seen live on BarçaTV and BarçaTV+ (4pm CET). The game was originally going to be played two years ago but had to be rescheduled due to the pandemic.
Albert Ferrer’s Barça Legends team, which heads to Merseyside on Friday, contains Angoy, Guzmán, Dehú, Soler, Belletti, Mendieta, Edmilson, Roger García, Trashorras, Giovanni, Luis García, Javier Saviola, Giuly, Edgar Davids, Francesco Coco, Oriol Riera, Dani Tortolero, Juan Carlos, Jofre and Rivaldo.
Liverpool FC, with a dazzling managerial team of Kenny Dalglish, Ian Rush, John Aldridge and John Barnes, will be lining up with goalkeepers Jerzy Dudek and Sander Westerveld, defenders Fabio Aurelio, Jamie Carragher, Daniel Agger, Jose Enrique, Sami Hyypiä, Jason McAteer, Bjorn-Tore Kvarme and Phil Babb; midfielders Glen Johnson, Steve McManaman, Patrik Berger, Vladimir Smicer and Salif Diao; and a forward line of Dirk Kuyt, Stewart Downing, Luis García, Maxi Rodríguez and Milan Baros.
