Barça to debut against KOI in the League of Legends Superliga

Barça play their first competitive game against Ibai Llanos and Gerard Piqué's team on Monday at 9pm CET

It's only been two months since FC Barcelona announced they are to join the League of Legends Superliga organised by LVP (Mediapro), but battle time is approaching. The first round of the competition begins on Monday at 9pm CET with Barça facing KOI, the team owned by the streamer, Ibai Llanos, and Gerard Piqué.

Barça's team of Dreedy, LeBron, Twohoyrz, Deadly and Lucky will make history as they play the Club's first competitive League of Legends game and debut in the Superliga. The azulgrana outfit presented their official roster a month ago, led by coaches, Alejandro Parejo and Martín Toribio, with the technical staff, Carlos Vioque (analyst) and Andrés Andrade (assistant coach) joining soon after. The Club also announced the addition of substitute team members Xixauxes and Nazrat as Support and Mid Laner respectively.

The whole team will face both a momentous day for Club and an audience that will watch via the official channels broadcasting the clash, including Barça's Twitch channel, enabling fans to watch every game this season live.

KOI are also making their debut in the competition and expected to line up with the players: SLT, Koldo, Hatrixx, Rafitta and Seaz - a very ambitious roster, led by their head coach, Falco.

The Superliga schedule

The Liga de Videojuegos Profesional (LVP) published the competition schedule for the Spring season split on Wednesday. Barça are to face the following teams in this order: KOI, UCAM Tokiers, Fnatic TQ, Bisons Eclub, Team Heretics, Movistar Riders, MAD Lions Madrid, Giants and G2 Arctic. The Superliga consists of 18 rounds home and away, ending with a play-off featuring the top six teams in the table.
