FC Barcelona travels to Israel to open 'Barça The Exhibition' and for the Legends Clásico against Real Madrid

President Joan Laporta among the party that will be attending both events from July 18 to 20 in Holon and Tel Aviv

Between July 18 and 20, FC Barcelona is organising two of the summer’s biggest events, namely the launch of 'Barça The Exhibition' and the Clásico between the Barça Legends and the Real Madrid Leyendas, the first game to be played by the veterans since the outbreak of the pandemic put a halt to sporting activity midway through the 2019/20 season.

The venue is Israel, one of the most advanced countries in terms of Covid-19 vaccination and where life has been returning to relative normality since June, although a number of measures have been reintroduced in recent days, including mandatory facemasks when indoors.

President Joan Laporta, joined by his vice-president Juli Guiu will be travelling to attend both events. 'Barça The Exhibition' is opening on July 18 in Holon Toto Hall, in the south of Tel Aviv. This is the worldwide opening of a travelling exhibition that will be appearing in different countries around the planet in future months.

The Barça Legends will also be putting in an appearance, together with several well-known Israeli celebrities.

With an eye to taking the club closer to its international fan base, the exhibition combines a series of interactive experiences with the very latest immersive technology that takes visitors on a journey through FC Barcelona history.

Produced by FC Barcelona in association with events and entertainments firm Proactiv, Barça The Exhibition features nine different rooms, and as they explore them visitors can use an audioguide based around a grandfather talking to his grandson, and showcasing the team’s greatest achievements, its style of play and even using a 360º surround space to create the illusion of really standing inside the stadium.

Fans can also enjoy interactive gaming in the Play Barça section and visit the hall of fame, Making History, where they get to admire team and individual trophies and different articles used and signed by Barça stars of past and present. The display was created in collaboration with the Barça Museum.

Legends back with a Clásico

A day after the inauguration, the Barça entourage will be attending a Gala Dinner ahead of the game between the Barça Legends and Real Madrid Leyendas, in which the side coached by Albert Ferrer will feature players of the calibre of Ronaldinho, Rivaldo, Deco, Jon Andoni Goikoetxea, Miquel 'Nanu' Soler, Guillermo Amor, Gaizka Mendieta, Javier Saviola, Ronald de Boer, Juan Carlos Rodríguez, Frédéric Déhu, Samuel Okunowo, Jofre Mateu, Daniel Tortolero, Juan Pablo Sorín, Francisco Javier Doz Guzmán, Oscar Arpón and Jesús Mariano Angoy.

The team will be training on the Monday morning, and will also be attending a meeting with the local supporters clubs in Tel Aviv and Nazareth.
