FC Barcelona and Naulover have signed a partnership agreement for the next two and a half seasons, through which the Catalan fashion brand has become an official clothing partner to Barça Femení in the Prêt-à-Porter category. This is a pioneering alliance with the club, as it is the first time the team has had a sponsor for players' off-field clothing.
The agreement was made official at an event held at the Estadi Johan Cruyff, which opened last summer and where currently the women's team play their official matches. Maria Teixidor, member of the Board of Directors of FC Barcelona and Head of Barça Femení, and Carme Noguera, CEO of Naulover, participated in the event. Teixidor handed over an official 2019/20 season shirt.
With this collaboration, Barça Women and the coaching staff will wear Naulover clothing on their away trips in the league, Champions League, Copa de la Reina and cup finals.
The agreement between Barça Women and Naulover was made possible by a series of common values, as both entities seek to achieve excellence in their respective fields through effort, teamwork and respect. This collaboration also gives a new impetus to the Barça Women project, thus reinforcing the commitment made by the Board of Directors at the beginning of its term to the promotion and development of women's sports. This commitment has allowed for the professionalisation of the Barça Women first team in the summer of 2015, and in recent years the team have become a benchmark in national level football. In addition, they have achieved significant success, including four league titles and six Copas de la Reina, as well as being finalists in the Champions League last year.
Maria Teixidor, FC Barcelona director and Head of Barça Women
"We are proud to welcome Naulover as a partner of Barça Women. We are particularly excited to partner with a brand that is recognised for its quality and excellence, and start a new path together that will allow us to continue consolidating the club's commitment to the promotion and development of women's sports. It is also the first street clothing sponsor for our women's first team, and therefore represents a new step towards bringing women’s sport on a par with men’s sport.”
Carme Noguera, CEO of Naulover
"It is a pleasure for us to collaborate on the Barça Women project. We are also an eminently female and Catalan company, so it is an honour to take part in the goal of bringing women's sports level with men's sports. Being a pioneer in this alliance and sharing this experience with FC Barcelona is a very enriching challenge for us."
