‘Pros behind the pros’, the miniseries that shows the everyday lives of the professionals behind the Barça team and La Masia

The four episodes are now available on Barça and Beko’s digital channels. Each part offers viewers the chance to get an exclusive look at the lives of a wide variety of professionals that are rarely in the public eye, but who work together with Ernesto Valverde and his team, and also with the residents of La Masia. These include the team of nutritionists and chefs who look after the players’ diets, and even the kit-men, as well as the coaches who oversee the players’ health and fitness. 

 ‘Fuelling Barça’

In the first episode, Fuelling Barça, Barça fans get to meet the nutritionist and the chefs, who reveal how they prepare the preseason for the players to make sure they are properly fed. We find out how they deal with back-to-back training sessions and the camera follows the players on their Summer Tour of Japan and the United States.

‘Training Days’

For the second episode, Training Days, the focus shifts to the team workouts at the Ciutat Esportiva and the work done by the professionals who are in charge of their fitness. From coaches to fitness staff, everyone has a very clear idea of how their work has a direct impact on the way the team performs. We get to see the effects of this on the field of play as the players train for and then play in the Joan Gamper match.

‘Dress for success’

Dress for Success is the third episode in the series and focuses on the kit-men and shows how they get all the materials ready for each training session or game to ensure that the players have everything they need without interruptions.

‘Who’s next?’

The miniseries ends with the episode titled Who’s next? in which the story switches to the next generation of FC Barcelona athletes that are currently being brought up at La Masia. We get to see how young boys and girls of different ages and that play different sports work hard all day and every day to maybe one day be able to emulate their heroes, the senior FC Barcelona squad.
