Pau Gasol arrived in Barcelona this Wednesday, ahead of a medical to be held on Friday, March 5, at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper.
The official presentation for the new FC Barcelona signing will be made once the club's presidential elections have concluded.
A second spell at Barça
Gasol is returning for a second spell at the club. His initial time with the first team was between 1999 and 2001, before he took his talents to the NBA for 18 consecutive seasons, playing 1362 games, becoming a title winner in 2009 and 2010, and being picked 6 times for the All Star Game.
The 2000/01 season was his breakout year, in which he was named MVP in the Copa del Rey and the Liga ACB finals. He played alongside Sarunas Jasikevicius and Nacho Rodríguez on that team.
