A group of children affected by the earthquake and tsunami in Japan visited the FC Barcelona Museum this Saturday thanks to an initiative taken up by a group of Japanese businesses - SouseikaiWeava Japan, inc., MANABE ZOKI, Co.,LTD. and Acwest, Inc. - to help the victims of the catastrophe in 2011. FC Barcelona is collaborating with the IESE Business School and the General Incorporated Association Project Yui Consortium on the project, which is financed by various private companies, to bring children affected by the disaster to Barcelona for seven days - from the 17th to the 23rd of August.

Unique Joan Gamper experience

In addition to visiting the city's attractions, the Club will do its best to show the Azulgrana philosophy to the 18 Japanese children, who are from Watanoha FC Ishinomaki, from the prefecture of Miyagi.

The children will also be treated to a unique Joan Gamper Estrella Damm Trophy experience, seeing that they will accompany the FC Barcelona players out onto the pitch before the match. They will then be received by FC Barcelona President Sandro Rosell in the Camp Nou’s presidential box. In addition, the first team players will sign FC Barcelona jerseys for the children.
