Barça 11–1 Igualada Rigat: Goal fest in the first game of the season at the Palau

Goals galore in the first home game of the OK Liga 2021/22 season. Barça earned the three points with convincing victory over Igualada by 11-1 at Palau Blaugrana.

Pre-match saw both teams display banners of support for Joel Pagès, the Olot player who suffered a heart attack on Wednesday during a match at Hogars Mundet.

Steamrolled from the start

Barça made a fast start, scoring 3 goals within the first ten minutes, including a brace from Matias Pascual. Uri Llenas then got in on the act on his first OK Liga match in the Palau, with the score 5-0 at the break.

No let up

The second half saw the onslaught continue with both Bargalló and Joao completing hat-tricks. Barça simply dominated their rival to run out 11-1 winners and start their La Liga campaign in the Palau in the best possible manner.
