KONAMI, an FC Barcelona Premium Partner and the creator of the Pro Evolution Soccer franchise, has cemented it relationship with the Club by making a financial donation of 100.000 USD to the FCB Foundation. The donation will be used to help establish the Foundation’s plans for a new FutbolNet programme. The gesture will be celebrated on December 3 on occasion of the Liga fixture between FC Barcelona and Real Madrid at the Camp Nou.
KONAMI’s commitment to FutbolNet will be heralded on the Saturday of the match in the form of special logos on the home club’s bench, LED advertising hoardings and on the main Camp Nou video scoreboard. The deal will also be outlined to all fans in the pre-match presentations, while PES 2017 will be visible in the dedicated PES area within the ground’s fan zone.
The legendary game will also be celebrated within PES 2017’s hugely successful myClub mode. Beginning November 24th through until December 4th, players can access a login campaign via PES 2017’s myClub mode and will be granted access to a variety of items and more than 20 legends from FC Barcelona legendary roster. Beginning December 1st through until December 8th, players can purchase a special agent available throughout the period granting access to both FC Barcelona and their biggest rival club, as well as FC Barcelona Legends.
FC Barcelona and KONAMI are committed to working together as part of a global agreement signed in July, which saw the creator of the PES series of football simulators, Pro Evolution Soccer, become a Premium Partner of the Club for the next three seasons. The Club is extensively featured in the Pro Evolution Soccer series, including exclusive use of the Camp Nou stadium.
“We want PES 2017 fans to feel part of our club and such a vital match. KONAMI’s generous donation to the FC Barcelona Foundation and their celebration of this crunch match against our biggest rivals within myClub prove they are an important part of FC Barcelona’s plans and we look forward to celebrating the continuation of this fantastic partnership”.
“To be the best you have to work with the best, so we are delighted to make this contribution to the FC Barcelona Foundation. The club’s pledge to work with the young and vulnerable is one we admire greatly, and we look forward to seeing their acclaimed ‘FutbolNet’ system growing globally with our support”.
