In the second friendly match of the 2018/19 pre-season, Ernesto Valverde’s men suffered their first defeat (2-4) against AS Roma in Dallas. Despite going ahead twice, a late flurry from the Giallorossi saw them take the victory. Rafinha had given Barça the lead early in the first half after a sumptuous move involving Malcom and Munir, and in the second period Malcom’s goal restored the one-goal advantage after the Italian side had equalised.
