On Wednesday it was officially announced that Marlon Santos would continue at FC Barcelona for another three seasons. Talking to Barça TV, the Brazilian defender said on Thursday: “It’s a great privilege to remain at Barça. I see my contract extension as very positive and it’s important for me and for my family.”
The centre back continued, saying he hoped ‘”to be able to take advantage of the opportunities that come my way” and “fulfill my objectives” step by step. For Santos Barça B have had an “excellent season” which they can round off by gaining promotion to the Second Division: “Let’s hope we can win against Racing away and also at the Miniestadi and we can gain promotion. We all want it and we want to go for it.”
