The Barça basketball team ended the regular season in the league with a comprehensive 85-68 win away at Bilbao Basket in a game in which the blaugranes dominated from start to finish. With fifth place in the table already secured and a league play off quarter final clash with Unicaja Málaga on the horizon, the win in the Basque Country means Joan Peñarroya's team move into the post-season on a winning note.

Excellent first half

Barça started the game switched on and soon moved into a 12 point lead with Jabari Parker leading the way. Two consecutive three pointers from the American kick started a dominance that led to a 24-16 lead going into the second quarter.

In second period the blaugranes retained control of the encounter and there was a debut for 18 year old Dani González. At half time Barça lead 45-30 in the Bilbao Arena.

Morale boost

In the third quarter the home side came back at the blaugranes to cut the deficit but Peñarroya's team reacted from the three point line to regain control of the encounter. With the win almost assured the Barça coach took the chance to give his fringe players some minutes as Barça took a 85-68 win ahead of Tuesday's first game against Unicaja in the play offs.
