After three consecutive draws, Barça B are returning empty handed from Algeciras. They may have dominated the game through possession, but were punished for two errors.

A goal straight from a corner for Matheus Pereira gave them new wings in the last minutes but luck was just not on their side in a game that saw Barça B's latest signing, Richard Dionkou, make his debut, the Senegalese winger coming on in the 77th minute for NDiaye.

Algeciras had Barça B under intense pressure for much of the first half, but just when Sergi Barjuan's men seemed have finally gained control of things, they gave away a penalty and Álvaro Romero made no mistake from the spot.

Ilias Akhomach and Ángel Rodado came on to massive effect, and Barça B were again well on top when misfortune struck again. An important lost ball in midfield sent home striker Roni through on Carevic and a precise low shot had them leading 2-0.

Matehus Pereira’s spectacular goal gave life to the visitors with seven minutes to go, but that was as far as things went and it means a sad trip home from Andalusia.
