Covid-19 vaccination begins at Camp Nou

The new vaccination point, located in the Sala Berlin, will run from Monday-Friday mornings during three weeks

The new 'Sala Berlín-Camp Nou FC Barcelona' vaccination point, provided by the club to the Health Department, officially opened on Thursday to provide further capacity to immunise against Covid-19.

The vaccination point will be open for the next three weeks, with 4 cabins for administering the vaccine. Some 2,500 people per week will receive doses, during morning sessions from Monday to Friday.

Access is via Gate 20 at the Camp Nou for those arriving on foot, with vehicles entering through Access Point 1. Proof of prior reservation is required.

Barcelona's Hospital Clínico will coordinate attendance and provide nursing personnel, as well as  the Consorcio de Atención Primaria de Salud Barcelona Esquerra (CAPSBE) and CAP Sarrià, providing administrative professionals.

An agreement was reached in March between the Conselleria de Salut and FC Barcelona, with the aim of providing an emblematic location in order for citizens to be aware of the need for vaccination.

Elena Fort, FC Barcelona Spokesperson and Institutional Vice-President

"Barça are 'Més que un club.' The bond between people and institutions at a moment like the present, is very important. The pandemic is very tough; there are many crises, people in hospitals and social problems.

Barça want to stand alongside the people and the country, and can help everybody to understand the need to be vaccinated. The vaccine is the light at the end of the tunnel, and between us all we are going to win this battle."
