WOMEN'S FOOTBALL: Barça 7-0 Rayo Vallecano

Barça raced to victory on Wednesday night against Rayo Vallecano in a fixture originally postponed from Week 6.

They dominated from the outset, and after just eleven minutes were already two goals ahead. Jenni seized a fine chance to put Barça ahead and Alexia made it two shortly after. Four minutes later, and Oshoala as good as made it game over with just a quarter of an hour played, dedicating the goal to her mother, for whom a minute’s silence was respected before the game.

Alexia made it four before the break, and with victory already assured, Gemma Font went on to make her debut in goal in the second half.

Oshoala added another to make it five, and there was still time for two more goals, from María León and Aitana Bonmatí, and also for another competitive debuts, this time for Emma Ramírez.
