Svetislav Pesic's side earned a solid victory after a superb second half performance against Gran Canaria (89-75). An improvement from the blaugranes defence took the game away from the visitors, who were the equal of their hosts until the break. Mirotic and Davies, with 20 points respectively, were the top scorers.
Barça quickly went ahead (5-0), but Herbalife Gran Canaria gradually managed to get into the game and were ahead by the sixth minute (16-19). By the end of the first period, the score was 23-19 to the hosts.
Gran Canaria continued trying to take advantage of the counterattack, and a 0-7 partial (36-38, min 14) took them back into the lead. By half-time, there was no separating the sides (43-43).
Great second half
Barça ended a great third period 12 points ahead of their opponent, thanks to a strong defence. From there, Mirotic and Davies inspired their side to increase the difference further (72-55).
In the last period, Barça defended the advantage and ended up winning their fourth game of the season.
