Barça U19A side were defeated by Inter Milan U19 side who showed themselves to be more ruthless in front of goal. Barça lacked that composure in front of goal in their second game of the groups stage of the UEFA Youth League.
The game started with the home side on top with Barça enjoying opportunities to take the lead, Peque having the best of them early on. However, as the half progressed Inter came more and more into the contest. A free kick from Oristanio in the 28th minute enabled the Italians to take the lead with Barça keeper Tebas making a brave effort to stop the ball flying in off the post. Before half time Mortimer had a chance to level things up for Barça but he was denied by a save from Inter keeper Stankovic.
After the break the blaugranes once again enjoyed a period of sustained pressure with Ilaix on in the second half. However, once again their finishing let them down with Jardí, Mortimer and Ilaix himself all missing chances.
On the counter Inter put the game beyond Barça with two goals in the final 15 minutes. First Gianelli, then Colimbini found the net for the Italians to claim all three ponts for the visitors.
