The Barça members decided that the Espai Barça Project would become a reality did so by a large majority. Of the 37,535 members who exercised their right to vote, a total of 27,161 (72.36%) voted ‘Yes’ to the proposal, compared to the 9,589 members who voted ‘No’.
The members have given the green light to an exciting project: “Over a third of FC Barcelona members have voted ‘Yes’ to the proposal of the new Espai Barça, a proposal which until this moment is the Espai Barça Project”, said president Josep Maria Bartomeu, who showed his satisfaction at the outcome of the day and for all of the members who turned up to vote at the referendum, regardless of what they voted for.
A total of 37,585 members responded to the question: “Do you approve the proposal of the New Camp Nou, the Espai Barça and the New Palau Blaugrana?”on a day of pure civism and without any incidents. The morning of the day, and especially before the game, were the times that saw the majority of people go to the polls.
