The Rolling Stones logo to be featured at Sunday’s women’s game

Jonatan Giráldez’s team will be wearing the British band’s iconic logo on the front of their shirts in continuation of the campaign promoted in association with Spotify

The music of The Rolling Stones (Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood) is still sounding at FC Barcelona, but this time it’s the turn of the women’s team. For this Sunday’s game against Sevilla at Estadi Johan Cruyff, the players will be wearing the band’s famous Tongue and Lips logo, after the men did likewise for the Clásico on Saturday 28 October. This is the continuation of a brand action being promoted in association with Spotify that has rocked the world of sports partnerships and that has gone vital worldwide in the last few days.

Thematic fan activities

In a match marked by the presentation of the Ballon d'Or by Aitana Bonmatí to the fans, as well as having the emblem on the players’ shirts, Estadi Johan Cruyff will also be breathing The Rolling Stones all over the place. The pre-game playlist will feature some of the band’s greatest hits -included in the Barça Matchday playlist on Spotify- and the video scoreboards during the build-up and at half-time will be showing thematic fan cams. There will also be karaoke singing of the Stones’ song “Start Me Up,” and a Jagger Cam where fans will be emulating the legendary singer’s moves.

What’s more, there will be a quiz and other terrace activities in which all participants will be entered into a draw to win items from the Barça x Rolling Stones Capsule that are still on sale on the club’s e-commerce platform.

In respect of the official merchandising, the match shirt FC Barcelona x The Rolling Stones Limited Edition with 1,899 units, have already sold out.

Increased plays of Stones tracks on Spotify

In recent days, there has been a clear rise in the number of Rolling Stones songs being played on Spotify due to the excitement of Clásico match. Following the announcement that the Tongue and Lips logo would appear on the El Clásico matchday shirts, average daily streams of The Rolling Stones jumped by more than 125% on Spotify in comparison to the day before. Also, the band's "Paint it, Black" have become the newest member of the Billions Club, surpassing 1 billion streams on Spotify.
