Rakitic and Dembélé nominated for Goal of the Group Stage

For their respective strikes against Tottenham, the Croatian and the Frenchman are among the four UCL goals shortlisted by UEFA

UEFA has shortlisted the best four goals of the Champions League group stage and is inviting users of its website to pick the best.

And wow! Barça has not one but two of the candidates.

Ivan Rakitic’s spectacular volley from outside the area in the 4-2 defeat of Tottenham at Wembley is one of them.

And Spurs were also on the receiving end of Ousmane Dembélé’s stunning slalom run in the 1-1 draw with the Londoners at Camp Nou on the final day has also made the cut.

Mauro Icardi’s goal for Inter (also against Tottenham!) and one for Cristiano Ronaldo for Juventus versus Manchester United are also in contention.

We’ve got a reminder of both those goals in the video below, and when you’ve decided which you would like to vote for, you can go here to do it!
