The names of 22 first team players, plus eight from Barça B, have been submitted to UEFA for inclusion
FC Barcelona has submitted to UEFA its squad list for the 2016/17 Champions League tournament.
In addition to the Club's 22 first team players, eight players from Barça B — José Suárez, Kaptoum, Aleñá, Cardona, Carbonell, Nili, Marlon, and Palencia — have also been included.
Suárez, Kaptoum, Aleña, Carbonell and Palencia are part of what is known as List B, which may include any player "born on, or after, 1 January 1995 and has been eligible to play for the club concerned for any uninterrupted period of two years since his 15th birthday (players aged 16 may be registered if they have been registered with the club for the previous two years)," according to UEFA.com.
The website continues: "Clubs are entitled to register an unlimited number of players on List B during the season, but the list must be submitted by no later than 24:00CET the day before a match."
List A consists of 25 players, including two goalkeepers. Eight of the 25 must be "locally trained players," according to UEFA, which means they must have been part of the club or the same football association for a minimum of three years from age 15 to 21.
Barça open play in the UEFA Champions League on 13 September versus Celtic at Camp Nou.
