The Spanish Super Cup is upon us. On Monday Hansi Flick named his squad for the competition in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, which begins on Wednesday with the blaugranes facing Athletic Club de Bilbao in the first semi-final, kick off 8pm CET. The winner will face either Atlético Madrid or Real Madrid in the final with the two clubs meeting on Thursday in the second semi-final. The trophy will be decided on Sunday in the final in Jeddah with kick off at 8pm CET.

The Barça squad leaves for Jeddah on Monday with the following players included: Ter Stegen, Balde, R. Araujo, Cubarsí, Ferran, Pedri, Lewandowski, Lamine Yamal, Raphinha, Joan Garcia, Rashford, Fermín, M. Casadó, Gerard Martín, Olmo, Frenkie de Jong, Bernal, Koundé, Eric, Szczesny, Roony, Dro, Jofre and Tommy.

The only players absent are the injured Gavi and Andreas Christensen. 

Final session in Barcelona

Flick's team took part in their final session at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper on Monday morning before leaving for Saudi Arabia with all the available first team players taking part as well as Tommy and Dro from the Barça Atlètic squad. 

Once they arrive in Jeddah, the squad's next training session will be on Tuesday 6 January at the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium, the venue for all three matches in the tournament.
