TYhe team travelled straight to Barcelona after the game in Bruges, arriving in the early morning. Just hours later, Hansi Flick and the squad were in for a post-match recovery session, which featured the substitutes at the Jan Breydel stadium plus Andreas Christensen, who is now fully back in training.
The starters did not set foot on the Tito Vilanova pitch, but the remaining players did ball work as thoughts turn to the game at the weekend, a tough trip to the Balaídos stadium to play Celta de Vigo.
The away game on Sunday (9.00pm CET) will also be the last ahead of another international break, meaning the following match for the blaugranes will be on 22 November when Athletic Club travel to face FC Barcelona in the Catalan capital.
