Pedri, August goal of the month
Pedri has started this season in spectacular form. The Canary Islander is governing the blaugrana midfield with some astonishing football, and he's also been outstanding in attack, scoring twice in the international break and also getting a goal for his club. Impressive from a player whose primary is more about creating goals than delivering them himself.
His goal for Barça came away to Levante, the day of the amazing comeback from 2-0 down to win 3-2. Pedri got the first of Barça's goals with a powerful shot from outside the area that flew into the top corner of the home net. A real stunner that sparked the comeback and, in a public vote on La Liga’s website, it was chosen as the best goal of the entire month of August! Not just for Barça but for any team in the competition.
This goal from Pedri ended up beating the other two nominees, Nicolas Pépé of Villarreal player, who scored against Celta after a fine team move in the box, and Julián Álvarez of Atlético Madrid, with a free-kick against Espanyol.
