Winger with a blaugrana past brings speed and quality

Jaume Albert Cuéllar Mendoza (Granollers, Barcelona, Spain; 23 August 2001), is back at Barça on loan from CD Lugo. A Catalan with Bolivian nationality he started out at Racing Blanenc, and in 2015/16 joined the academy at FC Barcelona. He proved himself as a player with a promising future and with a good eye for goal for departing for Italy.

In 2017, he started the first of four years at SPAL, making his first team debut on 4 December 2019 in a 5-1 defeat of Lecce, in doing so becoming the first Bolivian to play in Serie A.

On 4 August 2021, he joined CD Lugo in the Spanish second division, scoring 544 goals and giving 8 assists in 71 games.

On 26 August 2023 he signed on loan for Barça Atlètic to bring freshness and speed to the team's wings.

Cuellar played for Bolivia at the South American U17 and U20 Championships and played three games at senior level in the Copa America.

Technical profile

An ambidextrous winger, he can ply on both wings or in the centre of required. He is exceptionally quick and has a great eye for goal.
