On August 12, FC Barcelona Women will play their first match of the 2026/27 season in a friendly fixture against Montpellier FC at the Johan Cruyff Stadium. The occasion will also mark a special milestone for the Club and its social commitment, as it will be the first time that the women’s first team wears the Barça Foundation logo on the back of its shirt. This initiative reinforces FC Barcelona’s historic commitment to placing the Club’s strength and global reach at the service of the most vulnerable, while highlighting the work the Barça Foundation has been carrying out for more than thirty years.

The debut of the Barça Foundation logo on the field represents a further step in the Club’s determination to project its most genuine essence to the world: being “More than a Club.” From now on, the Blaugrana jersey will also serve as a platform to amplify the work carried out by the Club, through the Foundation, to improve the lives of thousands of children, adolescents, and young people in vulnerable situations, both in Catalonia and around the world.

This will be an opportunity to raise awareness of the programs developed by the Barça Foundation to protect children, promote emotional well-being, foster social inclusion, and create educational and future opportunities for children, adolescents, and young people facing vulnerability. Within these programs, sport is one of the educational methodologies that contributes to both personal and community development.

The presence of the Foundation’s logo on the back of the jersey strengthens a long-standing tradition of social commitment that has turned the FC Barcelona shirt into a unique platform for raising awareness of major global causes.
