It's Saint George's Day (Sant Jordi) today and FC Barcelona are participating via a stand at the crossroads between Calle Rosselló and Rambla de Catalunya in the Catalan capital. A significant number of people have visited during the day so far, interested in what Barça has to offer on this special day, such as the charity roses – with all funds going to the FC Barcelona Foundation – and the ‘Blaugrana bracelets’, the project by the Foundation that promotes more empathetic and humane home care.

This morning saw president Joan Laporta stop by the stand, accompanied by vice-president Elena Fort and board members, Miquel Camps and Aureli Mas. Sport was represented by the futsal player Adolfo, who also dropped by, and of course mascot CAT was there to spread some joy among the roses, books, and bracelets, bringing some good vibes to the stand.

Several writers with blaugrana-themed books published by Barça Books were there for book signings for those who passed by the stand in the morning. There will be more book signing sessions throughout the afternoon featuring the following authors:

  • 4.00pm-5.00pm: Roger Cruz & Lu Martín
  • 5.00pm-6.00pm: Ángel Iturriaga & Fermín Suárez
  • 6.00pm-7.00pm: Oriol Rodríguez & Francesc Aguilar
  • 7.00pm-8.00pm: Frederic Porta & Manel Tomá
